WhatsApp Update: Limits Forwarding Messages to Five Chats:
WhatsApp has been getting a lot of feedback from the users and now has started implementing the feedback. WhatsApp has restricted the message forwarding globally as of 21 Jan 2019.

The New WhatsApp Update has rolled out a new feature to fight fake news Globally. This new feature will only let users forward messages to up to 5 people only. This 5 can be either group of people. WhatsApp has rolled out new feature after getting feedback from the users. Fake news was spread like an epidemic through WhatsApp where most of the fake news was forwarded, this new Update is expected to drop the Fake news chart by huge margins.
WhatsApp has already rolled out Suspicious Link Indicator which detects any suspicious link which is forwarded or sent by someone and warns a user before it opens. There have been other measures taken by WhatsApp to fight fake news globally. In India, WhatsApp has started making ads to create awareness among the users.
Before this WhatsApp Update, Users were able to forward messages up to 20 People. But, this will be minimized up to 5 people or groups by the new update. This will keep the WhatsApp to be a private messaging app instead of a fake news one. Messages on WhatsApp can be copied & pasted so it will be interesting to see how this WhatsApp update will be able to stop the spreading Fake news in Today’s world.
