There have been rumors that the next version of the Android operating system, Android N, will not be featuring the app drawer.


Asus to roll out Android Marshmallow update for several devices

Asus has announced devices that will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in March. The smartphones that will ge the update include ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML), ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML), ZenFone 2 Laser ( ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE601KL), ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL), ZenFone Max (ZC550KL) and ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML).

Asus also announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will replace three of the company's apps: Asus Messenger, Asus Mail, and Asus Calendar.

Samsung has started rolling out February Security Update to its Flagships Devices

Samsung just announced that they have started rolling out the Android security patch update for the month of February. Devices receiving the update include the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy S5, Note 5, Note 4, and both the Galaxy Tab S and Tab S2.

If you haven’t received the update yet, try going into settings under ‘About’ and then ‘check for new software updates.’

WhatsApp to withdraw support for BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Phone 7.1 devices

WhatsApp will be ending support for BlackBerry devices (BB10 included), Symbian 40, Symbian 60, Android 2.1 and 2.2 devices and Windows Phone 7.1 sometime this year.

“While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don’t offerthe kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future,” the company explained in an announcement posted to the WhatsApp blog.“
This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.

Ringing Bells Closes Down Bookings for Freedom 251 Smartphone 7.35 cr Phones to be delivered in 2016

the company said, "We are humble and extremely grateful for your overwhelming response and trust. Respectfully, this is to advise that the response far exceeds the number that we had expected and therefore, we are now closing the invitation to bookings in this phase 1."

Till 11 am on Saturday, a total of 7.35 crore people have booked the `251 smartphone. We had to shut down online bookings because we are prepared to deliver only these many handsets,” said Mohit Kumar Goel, founder of Ringing Bells

According to a report out of Android Authority, it appears that current pre-release builds of Android N do not currently have an app drawer
Google may, of course, re-add the app drawer before the Android N developer preview is distributed at Google I/O 2016 in a couple of months, but for now it looks like Android N will ditch one of Android’s most recognizable features

Samsung Pay is Coming to China in March

Samsung today announced that its Samsung Pay mobile payments platform will launch in China in March. Following a China launch, Samsung says that its mobile payments service will launch in Australia, Brazil, Singapore, Spain and the UK later in 2016,
Samsung also plans to expand to Canada, though no time  was given.
Samsung Pay works with  Samsung phones. As with Apple Pay on iPhones and Google's Android Pay on aAndroid phones, users add their credit or debit cards and make payments at stores by tapping on a machine with a wireless technology called NFC.

Facebook Messenger adds multiple-account support for Android

Messenger users on Android can now switch from one account to another using a same device. You can add accounts to Messenger via a new Accounts section in Settings, and you don't need to be on Facebook in order sign in.
